Two for the price of one...

Just realised I didn't give my last post a title, sorry!

Life in Chapata is VERY different to Lusaka.  I have no internet connection in my new job (which I will tell more about in the next post).  There are internet cafes but they close for two hours at lunchtime and again at 5.30pm - as these are the only times I would be able to come use them, not very much use at all...!!!

I queried why they close at the exact times that they are needed most and was told that only businesses can afford to use them so they operate during business times only.

Oh well, will overcome somehow I'm sure.

Thanks for all the comments being posted, really does help knowing there are some back home who are interested in my endeavours.

Johnnie - Some of your posts are not very polite!  I wouldn't expect anything different from you but do you realise that everybody can see them?!!!   Be nice!!!!

Missing everybody.... Tina xx

  1. Sounds like 'TAF' are getting on really well! Yay!

Although, despite your warnings i read the bit you told me not to! I think i would have had to run away (and probably would have offended a lot of people in doing so) so good on you for sticking through it! I like your method of hanging the Mosquito need, sounds ingenious!

    Miss you, Love you xx

  3. Hiya Teens! Reading your blogs avidly and envying every bit of your temporary life! Seriously, as i love being in these backward places! I know how you'll appreciate things at home we all take for granted. Somtimes it's being easygoing and patient that carries you though in these situations like the bus. Also you have the convoys experience when things don't go to plan!!! You were sooo lucky to have been at the festival...WHAT an experience!!My imagination is running wild as I'm thinking of your living situation, but I'm sure you'll be having fun with like-minded people like A and F.
Things here good. WE did a very successful concert in St. Martin in the fields last WE and Mike and I are going back to London for a 60th party this WE. Nothing much else to report but I'll write again in a couple of days. Meanwhile continue to have fun in the heat and hope the project gets underway without too many hitches! Lots of luv Mags xx

  4. Hi Tina, I hope you don't mind me becoming a blogette? Met you before Xmas with a certain Mr Claus in the Holly Bush, really admire what you are doing. Your blog is fascinating reading and I hope we will be having a full slide show and presentation when you get back home. Fiona xx
